Sunday Shopping - Bac Ha Markets, Vietnam
The small sleepy town of Bac Ha is located in the far north-east of Vietnam near the Chinese border. Each Sunday its streets explode in a riot of colour and commerce, as villagers from the surrounding Flower Hmong hill tribes gather to buy, barter and sell their produce.
There’s a huge variety of products on sale, with everything from fresh fruit and vegetables, meats, grains, household items and traditional clothing to musical instruments, tobacco, rice wine, animals and livestock. The sights, smells, sounds and tastes are an incredible assault on the senses and it’s an experience that has to be seen to be believed! π

The Bukit Peninsula is a surfer’s paradise, with world-famous breaks all the way along the pristine coast from Bingin Beach to to Ulu Watu. πππ» The area has a relaxed surfers vibe and feels a world away from he crazy crowds of Kuta and Legian.
The sheer cliffs above the beach provide resorts with perfect views of the surf line-up. This was our view from the infinity pool at Mick’s Place overlooking Bingin Beach … take me back! π

Lopes Mendes Beach - Ilha Grande, Brazil
This long, palm fringed stretch of fine white sand and turquoise waves is called Lopes Mendes Beach & was our favourite find in all of Brazil. π
